Who is The Calm Collective for?

Perhaps you...

  • Spend much of your day thinking, planning or working online.

  • Feel mentally busy and find it hard to switch off.

  • Crave a regular pause in your week to simply breathe and be.

  • Prefer calm, welcoming spaces over busy gyms or large groups.

  • Appreciate choice, flexibility and a low-demand approach.

  • Want the support and accountability of live classes, but from the comfort of home.

  • Are returning to yoga, completely new to it, or looking for a practice that meets you where you are.

  • Value time for introspection, reflection and reconnecting with yourself.

You don't need to be flexible. You don't need any experience. You don't need to have it all together.

Just come as you are.

Hi, I'm Angela

I'm a yoga teacher, counsellor, mum to two teenagers and the owner of Yoga Rise in Blackpool.

Like many of the people I work with, I know what it's like to spend much of the day thinking, planning, problem-solving and looking after everyone else. I also know how easy it is to put yourself at the bottom of the list.

That's why I created The Calm Collective.

I wanted to create the kind of space I need too, a gentle, grounding pause in the week. A place where there's no pressure to perform, no expectation to get things right, just an invitation to slow down, move, breathe and reconnect with yourself.

My classes are shaped by my experience as both a yoga teacher and counsellor. They're psychology-aware, trauma-informed and rooted in choice, curiosity and compassion. Whether your camera is on or off, whether you join every class or just when you can, you're always welcome exactly as you are.

I'd love you to join me.

If you're local to Blackpool or visiting the area, you're always welcome at Yoga Rise – our friendly yoga studio offering a wide range of in-person classes. Together with The Calm Collective, you can enjoy the flexibility of practising both in the studio and from the comfort of your own home.
