Counselling
What issues can counselling help with?
I work with people experiencing mild to moderate mental health challenges, as well as those looking for support with life transitions, emotional growth, or self-understanding. Common areas include anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, menopause-related issues, grief, and relationship or family difficulties.
What type of counselling do you offer?
I take an integrative approach, combining person-centred therapy, CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), mindfulness, and psychodynamic awareness. Sessions are compassion-led and tailored to your needs.
Are sessions online or in-person?
All counselling sessions are currently offered online via a secure, confidential video platform, allowing me to work with people across the UK.
How long are the sessions?
Each session lasts 50 minutes.
How many sessions will I need?
This varies from person to person. Some people benefit from short-term work (6–12 sessions), while others prefer ongoing, longer-term support. We'll review your progress together as we go.
What does it cost?
Standard rate: £40 per session
Concession rate: £30 (for those on low income)
Is what I share confidential?
Yes. What you share is held in confidence, in line with ethical standards and BACP guidelines. I also attend regular clinical supervision to ensure safe and ethical practice.
Yoga
What style of yoga do you teach?
I teach mindful Hatha yoga with a slow and accessible approach that supports connection to the body, breath, and self. Classes include movement, breathwork, meditation, and relaxation.
Are your classes suitable for beginners?
Yes, beginners are always welcome. Classes are inclusive and offer numerous adaptations, allowing you to work at your own pace.
What do I need to bring?
Please bring a yoga mat and any other items you need to feel comfortable, such as a blanket, pillow, or cushion. Especially for relaxation, these items can help you feel supported.
Where do classes take place?
In-person classes are held at:
The Lakeside Kitchen, Hambleton (Wednesdays, 6:30 to 7:30 pm)
In the summer and on fine days, we practice outdoors in nature.
Do you offer online yoga?
Yes, I also offer live online classes. Please get in touch with me for the current timetable.
How much are classes?
In-person class: £10
Booking in advance is essential.

Managing stress, anxiety, and depression
Improving sleep and rest
Supporting pain management
Enhancing emotional resilience and self-awareness
